Snelgroeiend, vormt een ovale kruin tot 15 m hoog. De bladeren staan alternerend en zijn wat langer dan het gewone iepenblad. Gele herfstverkleuring. Groeit goed op kalk. Goede resistentie tegen iepenziekte.
